10 scholarship of 4.000 Euro available for the 2nd edition of the Master's Program in Color Design & Technology at Politecnico di Milanohttp://www.polidesign.net/en/colordesign
Milan, November 2016 - POLI.design, Consorzio del Politecnico di Milano, in collaboration with Associazione Italiana Colore, announces the 2nd edition of Color Design & Technology Master's, which is set to start in March 2017 and last 12 months. The master courses will be delivered in English language.
This master's is the only worldwide devoted to post-graduate training in the fascinating and complex field of color design and color technology. A new training program conceived to lend value to the most innovative and exciting areas in design and manufacturing, the master's program aims to train professional "color consultants," new specialists to meet growing demand for all-around experts in using color as a technical, expressive, and design medium. Such professionals know how to manage the technological and design complexities of using color, and thus play a central role in creative and industrial processes in numerous application domains: from industrial product design to interior architecture, from communication to fashion and entertainment, and even in designing the urban environment.
Not surprisingly, lots of professionals and companies have soon expressed their interest to this new training product, which will open with the patronage and sponsorship of the Associazione Italiana Colore. The master has also the patronage and the collaboration of: Konica-Minolta, Lechler, Missoni, Barbieri Electronics, MaxMeyer, Chiron, Boero Group, Fimi-Barco, Federchimica AVISA, Elementi Moda s.r.l., Create, OIKOS, X-Rite Pantone, Mantero, Clariant and Fontegrafica.
Generous support from Associazione Italiana Colore, Konica-Minolta and OIKOS, have made now available ten scholarship. Regulations and conditions for the fee reductions and information on other scholarships can be found at: http://www.polidesign.net/en/colordesign/FinancialAid
The master's program has two separate learning phases. The objective of an initial theoretical and scientific segment is to develop technical skills in measurement, control, digital reproduction, and comparison through disciplines including physics, optics, colorimetry, chemistry, psychology, and perception. The subsequent practical training phase contextualizes this learning in several applied design disciplines: industrial product design, interior architecture, the design of urban spaces, communication, fashion and entertainment, printing, and video.
At most 30 places are available. The program awards 60 credit units. For further information contact the Ufficio Coordinamento Formazione:

This document is an online publication to give developers guidance over colour palettes for constructions in the Malvern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. AONBs are landscapes which are protected in the UK to ensure that the qualities which make them outstanding are not eroded through urbanization. The colour palettes are designed to reflect the dominant tonalities and hues of each of the character areas which make up the AONB, adjusted in accordance with best practices in environmental colour design. Users of the guide can still exercise choice of colour palette but within the over all framework of the colour design.
