Emily Grundy

Emily Grundy is a Toronto based abstract artist who holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from OCAD University with a major in Fine Arts, Drawing and Painting. She works in multiple art mediums, varying from acrylic paint, spray-paint, oil pastels and acrylic mediums.

 

In her professional career, Emily is the Division Manager of Design at Sherwin-Williams. In this role she has national responsibility for the designer marketing strategy and execution. She is dedicated to the exploration of colour and trends with the Sherwin-Williams colour forecast team. She is responsible for researching and presenting Canadian colours and design projects and their evolution along with the moods, moments, and movements that helped shape the residential trend forecast.

 

Throughout her over 10-year career with Sherwin-Williams, she has become a registered IDCEC speaker and educator. She has spoken about color at both the Toronto and Vancouver Interior Design Show, the LivABLE Environment Design Summit, Home Show Conferences in multiple cities and many other notable interior design conferences and design post-secondary programs across Canada.

 

She delivers passionate and poignant continuing education courses for the design and architectural community. She supports and engages the future of interior design as well as those looking to further their education.

 

Emily is an Industry Committee member of the Interior Designers of Canada (IDC), National Board member of the Decorators and Designers Association of Canada (DDA), and an active member of the CRSC since 2022.
