Montaha Hidefi is a world-renowned Color Archaeologist™ and founder of Color Landing Studio, writer, and public speaker. As Color Archaeologist her role involves examining and observing past color and trend tendencies, the stories attached to them and their interpretations in the present trends, and the direction they will follow in future color forecasts for commercial purposes.

 

A Color Consultant with The ChemQuest Group, Inc., a global specialty chemicals & materials consulting services organization, Montaha is affiliated to various not-for-profit color associations. She is member of the Color Marketing Group® (CMG) since 2007 and serves as VP Color Forecasting since January 2020. She is founding member of the Canadian Freelance Guild (CFG) and serves on the Board of Directors as Vice-President since April 2021. She has been a member of the Colour Research Society of Canada (CRSC) since 2020.

 

Drawing on 25 years of specialty chemicals, coatings, special effect pigments, and color advising and counselling experience, Montaha is an accomplished color trends forecaster delivering trends research and forecasting insights, portfolio ideation and a multitude of color related developments to small, medium, and large organizations on a global basis. She has a thorough background in international marketing, has gained three masters’ degrees, and speaks five languages.

 

Montaha is an individual with multiple talents and skills. A public and keynote speaker, she lectured on color and trends virtually and in-person in countless conferences, universities, trade shows and seminars around the world.

 

She co-authored Colour Design: Theories and Applications, edited by Janet Best (2012, and 2017), and authored three memoirs; Giving Voice to My Silence: My Struggle for Respect from Venezuela to Syria (2022), Dando voz a mi silencio: mi lucha por el respeto entre Venezuela y Siria (2022), and Groping for Truth – My Uphill Struggle for Respect (2018). She designed and conducted various training modules including The Role of Color in Design, Chapter 2.3 for the Shop! MaRC Program (2019).

 

Montaha is a citizen of the world and has lived and worked in South America, the Middle East, Europe, and North America. She is currently based in Guelph, Ontario, Canada.
