Diversity & Equity Statement

In Canada today, our academic institutions, communities and governments are actively considering post-colonial and post-modern approaches to knowledge creation. The Colour Research Society of Canada/Société Canadienne de recherche sur la couleur is committed to linking colour researchers from diverse disciplines and approaches to an international network supporting excellence in knowledge and awareness about colour.

We are in agreement with the Tri-Council statement: “Achieving a more equitable, diverse and inclusive Canadian research enterprise is essential to creating the excellent, innovative and impactful research necessary to advance knowledge and understanding...”

The CRSC is committed to developing equitable and inclusive participation in our organization, to encouraging and presenting research that is grounded in principles and practices of equity, diversity and inclusion. We aim to be a welcoming community of researchers and colour knowledge enthusiasts who value projects and outcomes that are rigorous, relevant and accessible to diverse populations.
