Student Awards 

The Colour Research Society of Canada (CRSC) annual Student Award for Canadian Colour Research is open to all post-secondary students (graduate, undergraduate, CEGEP) studying in Canada (or recently graduated) who have completed a study focused on colour (in any field) within 18 months of the submission deadline.

Colour must be the main topic of the study, but all disciplines or combination of disciplines are welcome. Research-based or practice-based studies are welcome (e.g. science, social science, history, literature, art, design, architecture, film). Individual or group submissions are acceptable.

Submission deadline : Mar 1, 2024

About the Award 

The CRSC Student Awards include:

  • One Graduate level Winner* – cash prize of $300 CAD + certificate and digital badge.

  • One Undergraduate level Winner* – cash prize of $200 + certificate and digital badge.

And, at discretion of the Jury:

  • One Graduate level Honorable Mention* – certificate and digital badge only.

  • One Undergraduate level Honorable Mention* – certificate and digital badge only.

Also included in Winner Awards:

  • Opportunity to present your work at a CRSC meeting (in person or online / seminar or webinar)

  • 1-year CRSC membership

  • Profile on the CRSC website

In the case of a group project, one cash prize, profile and presentation will be given to the group, and each group member will receive a 1-year CRSC membership.

* Note: the Jury may decide not to give awards if entries are not of sufficient quality. All submissions will be anonymized for jurying.

  • Name and contact information: email address, phone number

  • Name of post-secondary institution and institutional street address

  • Faculty name and email address (faculty member for whom you did the project)

  • Name of Project

Project Presentation please include:
  • Title of project, with brief (2-3 sentence) summary

  • Maximum 10-page presentation (images and text) including reference page.

  • Format of submission: PDF

  • Maximum size: 10 MB
     

N.B. please do not put your name in this presentation. The jurying will be anonymous.
